Forty-one cases of clavicle fracture in newborn babies were examined by
both radiographic and ultrasonic methods. No substantial difference has
been found between these two modalities. It is suggested that ultrasound
should be the procedure of choice in the diagnosis of clavicle fracture.
This is especially true in those cases where impaired movement of the arm
is the only clinical sign.
